Day 11: Cranbrook, BC

What a great day with Kim, Dottie and Tim!

We started our day with hike up Eager Hill – Rain and Moxie loved chasing the dogs around and I enjoyed the view!  Kim introduced us to Geocaching and we successfully located 2 geocaches on the hill.  The kids are hooked!

After a cool-down at home we packed up and spent the afternoon at Jim Smith Lake.  A friend of Kim’s graciously joined us and brought floats/rafts, pool noodles and paddle boats.  It was my first time paddle-boating and am in LOVE!! But holy crap – what a full body work-out! This is my punishment for missing 3 weeks of Carolyn’s fitness classes.  (not to mention it was so windy there were white caps – crash course in balance and steering!) Moxie and Rain spent most of the afternoon chasing ducks (those poor creatures!).  It was so great to spend a day outside at the lake with friends.

When we got back Rain played games with Kim while Moxie “loved” Dottie … a. lot. (Dottie is the most patient pug ever!)

Tomorrow we are off to Picticton in the Okanagan Valley – a long 7 hour drive but it will be well worth it.

Til tomorrow,

Team Adventurers
