Day 10: Golden, BC – Cranbrook, BC

Take off song: “We are Going to be Friends”, The White Stripes because we are meeting up with friends today!!

Today we drove 3 hours straight to Fort Steele, a heritage village just outside of Cranbrook, BC. We met my lifelong friend, Kimmer and her adorable pug, Dottie. After a quick picnic lunch (thanks for the icecream Kim) we all explored the village and took a train ride. Rain and Moxie tok turns walking Dottie (or should I say getting walked by Dottie) and they all soon became BFFs.

On the way to Kim’s house she let us bring Dottie in our car and the kids were THRILLED – there was even a photo shoot.

We got to Kim’s house and R-E-L-A-X-E-D in a real house!! Rain and Moxie giggled and played with Dottie and Tim (Kim’s other dog) and I was completely spoiled by Kim (can you say beer on a lounge chair while someone cooks for me?! WOW)

Tonight is just a quick update because I am going to spend the evening catching up with Kim.

Til Tomorrow,

Team Adventurers

PS. there are more pics on Kim’s camera, which I’ll post at a later date!
